ATTENTION!!
Last week, we issued an update regarding corrupted media files downloaded via YuJa’s Bulk Download feature. We’re happy to share that the issue has been resolved and the feature is now re-enabled. While we work diligently to manage these tools, vendor platforms can occasionally experience unexpected disruptions. You can help ensure a smooth experience by following these best practices:
-
Always check that your downloaded media files play correctly, regardless of how they were downloaded.
-
YuJa sends bulk downloads via email. Try downloading fewer files at a time and check your junk/spam folder if you do not see the email initially.

As we begin a new semester, we want to ensure you're equipped with the following helpful tips.
1. Re-enable Honorlock after a Course Copy
In your D2L Course, go to Tools > Honorlock and then click Enable. Review settings
for each Honorlock exam that was copied then save your settings.
2. Allow students to familiarize themselves with the Honorlock Proctoring Process
To help your students succeed, give them an opportunity to experience the Honorlock
proctoring process prior to any graded exams. View the resources on our Honorlock Faculty website for more information on test-driving the Honorlock experience.
3. Honorlock Updates
a. Action Items: Honorlock has introduced the new Action Items section at the top
of the Honorlock area in your D2L course. This feature is designed to help faculty
efficiently monitor sessions that require follow-up, making it easier to address any
violations flagged by Honorlock proctors.
b. Feedback on Proctoring Results: You can now provide feedback on flags and violations added by proctors when reviewing an Honorlock session. Let them know if the results were helpful by providing your input, as it will directly contribute to improving the proctoring process.

INTRODUCING NEW TOOLS...

Panorama Accessibility Tool
Panorama is a new accessibility tool in D2L. You will notice icons appearing next to the content items in your courses. These icons indicate the level of accessibility of the content items. When you click on the icon, an accessibility report will pop up, and a new remediation tool can be used to improve the accessibility of D2L content.
For more information, please review the Panorama Support Webpage.
LockDown Browser

LockDown Browser assists faculty in proctoring their classroom. It locks down a student's computer so they cannot navigate outside of the D2L quiz. This makes it ideal for in-person settings where the faculty can monitor students' use of mobile devices or other physical materials during assessments. You can now access the LockDown Browser tab through the Quizzes tool in D2L Brightspace.
For more information, please visit our Testing Integrity webpage.
